1. Short CV
Tomislav Ivanjko (researcher ID: 314670) was born in 1984. He enrolled in the study of Information and Communication Sciences and Comparative Literature in 2002 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, where he graduated in 2008 with a degree in library studies, thus completing a two-subject study of Information and Communication Sciences and Comparative Literature. During his studies, he received the award of the Dr. Ljerka Markić-Čučuković Foundation for the best student of LIS at the University of Zagreb for ac. year 2004/2005. Since 2009, he has been employed as a research assistant at the Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. In the same year he enrolled in the Postgraduate Study of Information and Communication Sciences. He defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic Analysis and Implementation of Folksonomies in Subject Indexing of Heritage Materials in 2015. In September 2017, he was appointed as an assistant professor at the Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. In January 2023 he was appointed as an associate professor at the Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
His research interests focus on practical and theoretical aspects of the impact of new technologies in the heritage area, with special emphasis on the use of social software, crowd work, citizen science and gamification in the field of knowledge organization in the digital environment.He has authored more than 50 scientific and professional papers. As a reviewer, he collaborates with the journals Records Management Journal, Sustainability, Education Sciences, Information and Sensors. He won the Emerald Publishing Award "Outstanding Reviewer" for 2021 from the editorial board of Records Management Jorunal. He has participated in a number of domestic and international projects. He is a member of the organizing committee of the conference INFuture - the future of information sciences and the konference kConnect.He is the President of the Ethics Committee of the Department of Information and Communication Sciences in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies and a member of the Ethics Committee for scientific research at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. He is the chair of Institute for information studies of the Department of information and communication sciences.He is a member of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) and is actively participating in the working group Citizen science and universities. He is the national coordinator for the Erasmus+ project "Fostering FEMale participation and LEADership in open science initiatives" (2024-2027) (https://femlead.eu/). He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Erasmus+ funded project “Citizen-enhanced Open Science Southeastern Europe” (https://ceosse-project.eu/).
