What we Do
The Informatics Section of the Department of Information and Communication Sciences brings together experts and researchers working across a diverse range of topics within the field.
Our research covers natural language processing, artificial intelligence, data analysis, information systems, and digital humanities, combining theoretical insights with the practical application of modern technologies. Through an interdisciplinary approach, we integrate technological, linguistic, and pedagogical aspects of informatics to advance research and educational methodologies, while bridging informatics with the social sciences and humanities.
What we Teach
Our courses are designed to provide students with a strong foundation in informatics, along with opportunities for specialization in advanced technologies and innovative educational methods. The curriculum includes programming fundamentals, databases, and machine learning, as well as specialized fields such as cryptology, computational linguistics, information architecture, and digital educational content.
A special emphasis is placed on creative approaches to teaching, adapting education to modern trends. We encourage the development of practical solutions, enabling students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts.
Our Students
Students cultivate interdisciplinary skills and prepare for the application of modern technologies across various domains. Through coursework and research projects, they acquire theoretical knowledge, strengthen practical competencies, and develop innovative problem-solving strategies.
Our study program prepares students for careers in research, education, and industry, offering them broad opportunities for professional growth. The skills they gain empower them to create innovative projects and apply technology in ways that respond to the demands of today's digital world.
What we Research
We actively participate in scientific projects focused on data analysis, information system development, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence applications. Our research includes machine translation, data quality analysis, information visualization, and innovative teaching methodologies, with the goal of enhancing digital literacy and developing new technological solutions.
Constantly adapting to emerging scientific challenges, we connect theoretical knowledge with practical implementation in academic and professional settings. Through interdisciplinary projects, we develop innovative technologies that improve the efficiency of digital platforms and information systems.
