Resume:

Ana Barbarić was born in Split. She finished primary and secondary education in Split, and graduated sociology and library science at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. Attained her master’s degree with the thesis “Online Public Access Catalogues – Emergence and Development”. Attained PhD with the thesis “Functions of the modern library catalogue” in 2009. Since 1998 she has been working at the Department of Information and Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. In 2010 she gained the status of assistant professor. In 2015 she gained the status of associate professor and in 2021 the status of full professor. Since 2010 she has acted as Head of the Section for Librarianship.
