Résumé

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ivan Dunđer holds a PhD, an MSc in Informatics, a BSc in Information Technology Engineering, is an assistant professor and a scientist. He was born on 29th of December 1985 in Zagreb, Croatia. He is married to Ivana and father of Jakov, Dora and Ana. His Croatian scientist identification number is 345536. He is a Senior Research Associate, employed as an assistant professor at the Department of Information and Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. He is a Doctor of Science in the field of Information and Communication Sciences. He defended his PhD thesis entitled “Statistical machine translation system and computational domain adaptation” in the branch of Information systems and Informatology. He is scientifically and professionally committed to the fields of computational natural language processing, machine translation and evaluation, language and speech technologies, knowledge management, along with modelling and development of databases, applications and information systems. He has given many lectures and has presented papers at numerous international conferences with international peer-review and has specialised his scientific and professional skills by attending seminars, certified programs of education, public lectures, symposia and workshops throughout Croatia and abroad. He was awarded a faculty prize for academic excellence, received a doctoral scholarship and won an international project for young scientists. He actively participates in activities of scientific and professional associations, and speaks, besides Croatian, German, English and French as well.
