Resume:

Maja Jokić graduated biology 1978 from the Faculty of science University of Zagreb. She gained master and doctoral degree in information science as well a professor status at the Faculty of social sciences and humanities University of Zagreb. She started to work in the National and University library in 1980. In 2010 she started to work at the Institute for social research in Zagreb. Her professional interests are scientometrics, scholarly communication processes, and scientific and scholarly journals. She was leader or associate at a few R&D projects. Among them is current national research project “Developing a model for the evaluation of scientific work in Croatia”.  She is an author of more than 50 scientific and professional papers, 5 books and few book chapters.
