Dr. Sanja Kisicek was born on February 21, 1984 in Zadar. She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb, studying two majors: English language and literature and Information Sciences. She completed her PhD in 2013 at the Postgraduate Study of Information and Communication Sciences, with the dissertation Multimedia Instructional Design: Multimodal Approach to Computer Literacy in Virtual Environment. She was awarded several prestigious academic awards: Science Award by the National Science Foundation, Rector's Award at the University of Zagreb, Franjo Marković Award by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. During her career, she participates in teaching and research at the Department of Information and Communication Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, and during her stay abroad, she mentors an international teaching staff within tne International Baccalaureate Programme in the field of technology integration, instructional design and classroom management and participates in courses Creating Positive Classroom Environments and Education in Context: History, Psychology and Sociology within the Masters Program in Advanced Teaching at the University of the People in collaboration with the IBO. She is the author and facilitator of several workshops in the field of multimedia learning, content management systems and developing collaborative cultures based on reciprocal coaching conversations. She participated in or led professional development at around 30 international conferences. She returns back home to Croatia with the desire to promote collaborative cultures deeply rooted in collegiality and reciprocal mentorships. She is passionate about leadership coaching, building capacity and collaboration. She is a licensed NSRF protocol facilitator for leading structured dialogues in educational reform.
