I was born in Ivanić-Grad, Croatia. I finished elementary school in Zadar. After that I finished a grammar school of pedagogic orientation. I enrolled in the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, orientation: Applied mathematics , and I graduated in 1981 with a work titled "Hyperbolic systems" and I gained the title of an engineer of mathematics.

I enrolled the postgraduate study „Information system design“ at the Faculty of organization and informatics in Varaždin in 1989. In 1992 I received a master's degree by defending the thesis „Use of Matrix Representation with Procedure for Obtaining of Representation Set of Functional Dependencies and Modification of Bernsetin's Algorithm for Normalization by synthesis“. In 1996. He received a PhD degree by defending the thesis „The impact of redundancy in the database at the speed of processing“ at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. In 1997 I was appointed as assistant professor; in 2002 I was appointed as associate professor and in 2006 I was appointed as full professor, all at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. In 2011 I was re-appointed as full professor (permanent tenure) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. I teach Mathematics, Logic for IT specialists, Logic programming and Databases at the Study of information and communication sciences. At the Postgraduate doctoral studies i teach: Theory of database design and Modal logic. I was Chair of the Social and Humanistic Informatics sub-department, and Chair of the Department for Information and Communication Sciences. I was member of the Scientific field committee for information and communicational sciences and member of other committees as well. I published a significant number of scientific and professional papers.
